Ready for New Term

As student numbers at Nottingham College's Science Park campus continued to grow, the catering management team identified a clear operational problem: the existing servery could only be operated from one side of the counter, creating unacceptable queuing times at peak lunchtime periods.

Castle Catering Engineers were engaged to assess the existing layout and propose a solution. Our recommendation was to remove the adjacent wall and extend the full servery run — enabling simultaneous dual-sided service from both sides of the counter.

The new extended servery was designed with black gloss fascia, stainless steel top and upstands, integrated hot wells and glass sneeze guard canopy. All works were completed during the summer school holidays, with the extended servery fully operational ready for the new academic term.
